Frequently Asked Questions

We answer the 10 most frequently asked questions from our resellers and wholesalers

In Issue 1 Can you really make money by reselling vintage clothing?

Yes, and that’s exactly why more and more people are getting into this business. Many of our customers started out by reselling a few items on online platforms. Profitability depends on many factors: what categories you buy, how you sell, how much volume you move, and the time you dedicate to it. But one thing makes a big difference right from the start: buying products that actually sell. That’s why at SP VINTAGE we focus on turnover, margin, and current demand—not just on selling kilos of clothing.

No. 2 Do I need to be self-employed or own a business to make a purchase?

No. You can make a purchase whether you're just starting out from home or already have a store or business up and running. Many people place their first order with us even before they've considered starting a business.

No. 3 I've never bought wholesale before… Are your bundles a good way to get started?

Yes. In fact, a lot of customers start out that way. That’s why we offer sizes starting at 7 kg, so you can get started without having to make a huge investment or buy hundreds of items all at once. The idea is for you to try out different categories, figure out what works best for you, and grow gradually with products you can actually sell.

Where can I resell the clothes I buy?

Most of our clients sell their clothing on platforms such as Vinted, Depop, Wallapop, eBay, or their own online stores. We also work with brick-and-mortar stores, vintage markets, and Instagram or TikTok accounts specializing in vintage fashion and streetwear. Each client has a different approach to selling, but they all seek the same thing: products with high turnover, a modern aesthetic, and real commercial potential.

Is all the clothing authentic?

We only carry authentic vintage and secondhand clothing. We do not carry counterfeits or replicas. All lots undergo a manual inspection before being prepared. We know exactly how important this is for any reseller or store, especially these days.

Can I return an item?
We want you to know exactly what to expect before you buy. Since we deal in wholesale vintage and secondhand clothing, we do not accept returns due to a change of heart or because the product does not meet your personal expectations for resale. We do accept returns when SP VINTAGE WHOLESALE has made a clear error in preparing or shipping the order. If you notice an issue, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and include: Order number. Clear photos of the affected items. A brief explanation of what happened. Our team will review the case and, if applicable, let you know how to proceed. When a return is authorized, the refund is issued in the form of a store credit to be used toward a future purchase. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. It’s also important to note that we work with vintage and secondhand clothing. Some items may show minor signs of wear typical of this type of product, and these are not considered grounds for a return. If you have any questions before making a purchase, please feel free to ask us. That way, we can better guide you and help you choose the lot that’s the best fit for you.
What happens if I receive defective clothing?
Vintage and secondhand clothing is not new, so it’s normal to find some minor signs of wear or items that need to be washed, ironed, or touched up before being resold. Even so, our lots are prepared according to the quality specified for each product, and we inspect the merchandise before shipping it. There may be a small margin for human error during the selection process. If you believe that what you received clearly falls short of the advertised quality, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and we’ll review your case. We don’t consider minor signs of wear typical of vintage clothing to be an issue, but we do want to know if there’s a real quality problem.
What kinds of clothing items are usually included in the lots?

It depends on the category you choose. We carry everything from vintage and Y2K sportswear to workwear, denim, premium clothing, and more commercial branded apparel. Within our categories, you’ll find brands such as: Nike, Adidas, Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Levi’s, Carhartt, and many more. Whether you buy by the piece or by the kilo, we always strive to offer a selection that’s suitable for resale and consistent with the category you’ve purchased.

Are the photos and videos you show real examples?

Yes. All the content we share on social media and our website features actual clothing curated by our team. Obviously, since these are vintage and secondhand items, each batch varies, and no two will ever be exactly alike. But the style, quality, and type of product are always in line with what we show.

What quality do you usually receive?

We focus on selecting items for resale. Most of our inventory is Grade A, and we always prioritize garments that are in high demand and of high quality. That said, these are genuine vintage and secondhand items, so some garments may show slight signs of wear that are normal for this market.

Does the clothing arrive ready to sell?

Most items arrive ready for resale. Sometimes it may be necessary to wash, iron, or lightly steam certain pieces—something that’s completely normal in the vintage world. But our goal is always to put together lots of clothing with real sales potential, not to waste your time sorting out unusable items.

Are the sizes mixed, or can I choose?

Sizes are typically shipped as a mix based on availability. We usually carry sizes from XS to XXL, although the most common sizes are M, L, and XL. If you're looking for a more specific selection, we also offer an in-person handpick service and a video handpick service.

Are all batches different?

Yes. Each order is prepared manually based on the stock available at that time. This means that each selection offers some variety and that different items are constantly coming in—something that’s very important in the vintage world.

What is the minimum order amount?

It depends on the format. For products sold by the piece, the minimum order quantity is usually 10 units. For products sold by the kilo, we follow our “reseller model,” with formats ranging from 7 kg to 100 kg depending on the volume and profile of each customer.

What's the difference between buying by the kilo and buying by the piece?

Buying by piece allows you to access more specific categories and better control specific quantities. Buying by kilo usually offers a better cost per garment and greater potential profit margin, especially as you increase volume. It depends a lot on how you sell and where your business stands.

Do you also work with stores and large buyers?

Yes. We work with everyone from people just starting out to vintage stores, online businesses, and high-volume buyers. We also offer special volume-based pricing for large orders.

Can we visit your warehouse?

Yes, always by appointment. Our warehouse is located in Barcelona, and we welcome both domestic and international customers. Many customers take advantage of their visit to handpick items and see up close how we work.

How long does it usually take for an order to be prepared and shipped?

The typical processing time is usually 2 to 10 business days. During product launches, sales, or periods of high demand, it may take a little longer, since all orders are processed manually. We prefer to maintain a good selection rather than rush orders indiscriminately. PRE-ORDER items may take 2 to 8 weeks.

Do you ship outside of Spain?

Yes. We ship throughout the European Union and work daily with customers from various countries. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination and the size of the order.

What if I have a problem with my order?

If any real problem arises with your order, our team will review your case on an individual basis. We always strive to offer a clear and reasonable solution, because our goal is not to make a one-time sale, but to build long-term relationships with our customers.

Why are so many people starting to resell vintage clothing?

Because demand for vintage and secondhand clothing continues to grow significantly, especially online. More and more people are looking for unique pieces, vintage brands, and clothing that’s different from what they find in conventional stores. This has led to platforms like Vinted, Depop, and vintage markets growing significantly in recent years, and more and more people are seeing reselling as a real business opportunity.

Can I choose specific items for my store?

Yes. We offer an in-person handpick service at our warehouse for customers who want to select items one by one. We also offer a video handpick service for customers who cannot travel to Barcelona. The minimum order for handpick is 500€.
